SOYA Photography winners announced
The SOYA 2004 Winner for Photography is:
Craig Cole 'The Sun Highlights the Lack in Each'
Highly Commended was awarded to:
Jesse Marlow 'Centerbounce'
The Judges for Photography were:
Ken Ducan [Photographer]
Nick Dent [Editor Black and White Magazine]
Narelle Autio [SMH newspaper]
Naomi Cass [Director Centre of Contemporary Photography Melbourne]
Craig Cole won $10, 000 in cash and travel plus a mentorship with photographer Ken Duncan.
SOYA Photography received over 2,000 submissions and there were 7,500 to SOYA overall, so as you can imagine the shortlisting was no easy task. The Judges pass on their congratulations to all finalists.
This marks the end of the fist ever SOYA awards, big thanks to all who submitted. NOISE will return next year; hope to see you all then.
