Growing up in Melbourne's hard luck western suburbs where younge artists art works are displayed in the streets and railways not in the gallerys. I decided to get myself a job in pre-press design. I completed various courses in screenprinting, design and desktop publishing. I became employed in a printers doing the pre-press art work, it was boring and I hated sitting on my bum all day so I left. Now being unemployed ment that I had plenty of time to think about what I really wanted to do, that was t-shirt design. Where the traditional canvas was replaced by a t-shirt, and the designed are more image based rather than logos. I completed two small business couses, with one of them aimed at youth self-employment it was call Slingshot, run by the Melbourne citymission. This enabled my to start my own business in screenprinting and design as well as starting my own t-shirt label called HOS Hell Of a Style, with the tag on the shoulder. Some of my t-shirts are available in Outskirts t-shirt gallery in Brunswick St, Fitzroy. The designs are influenced by the western suburbs way of life and surroundings.
