I try to create work that is a little bit of my world in Melbourne and how I want it to be. Its usually an out of breath ranting, a tumbling of thoughts that often falls into that space between language and life where theres a huge expanse ofsomething between the way we think and the way we actually act. Because we think and communicate in words, I find them the best way to attempt to express what Im feeling or what I want to say. And because in a way they are so limited by vocabulary and experience and only 26 little shapes, they often dont really come close to being rightwhich is incentive to keep trying.
