biography From day one, Jamie Walsham has had the kind of success that any young designer would dream about. Her womens label, One Teaspoon, has been a hit with stylists and stockists, including General Pants, whove picked up on her denim, cheeky minis and printed singlets. Her clothes are an extension of her personality part rock chick, part tomboy and a little bit girly.

After working for fabric wholesalers and starting a small label with a friend, Walsham decided to go it on her own, and in 2000 One Teaspoon was born. The success has allowed Walsham, 25, to branch into accessories, and a new denim line called One Teaspoon Classics, due to hit stores soon. The label is also about to be released in the UK.

Despite her successes, including winning a grant from the Australian Fashion Foundation and being a finalist in the 2003 Mercedes Start-Up program, Walsham doesnt take herself too seriously. Im just doing what I love and hopefully girls will keep wearing it, she says.
