Edwina Hookey

	Edwina has studied the piano since the age of 5 and the violin since the age of 10. She has been awarded Associate Diplomas on both instruments and on the violin, the Licentiate Diploma with Distinction. She has won the Wilsher Memorial Award for Strings, and she was also one of three finalists in the MSV�s Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial Awards. Edwina is a member of the Australian Youth Orchestra, studies casually at the Australian National Academy of Music, and was also one of two secondary school violinists asked to be part of the MSO Training Orchestra in 2002, as well as being named the Mars Young Performer of the Year. Having just completed Year 12 at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, in 2003 Edwina looks forward to furthering her musical education by studying at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
