The Institute of Modern Art (IMA) is Queensland's foremost public art space devoted exclusively to contemporary art. IMA is devoted to the generation, presentation and interpretation of contemporary visual culture. Since its founding in 1975, the IMA has achieved an international reputation for projects by established, mid career and emerging artists. Its commitment to promoting dialogue within the artistic community is reflected in the program of lectures, forums, conferences and publications.
