Australian Weblogs
Australian Weblogs seeks to highlight Australian owned or based weblogs, everything-nothing and journal style web sites. If you're a weblogger, regardless of nationality living in Australia, or an Australian living overseas you can enter the URL of your weblog to have it checked by the Update Tracker, and optionally join the Aussie Blogs web ring. The best feature being that it tracks web sites that have been updated in the last 6, 12 and 24 hour periods.

If you do a little blog research on the net no doubt Rebecca Blood�s name will pop up, aside from writing Weblog: A Practical Guide To Creating & Maintaining Your Weblog, she has been vocal in discussing weblog topics from ethics to their position in mainstream media. Check out her essays on the history &perspective of weblogs here.
Diaryland
A fun, simplistic, user-friendly site that lets you have your own diary at your-name.diaryland.com. All you need to know is how to type & use the web, and they do the rest. Choose from a variety of web templates. 850 000 users and growing daily.

NYC Bloggers
I�m not sure if there is an Australian equivalent yet, but the design and concept is great. Based on the New York City subway there are 1929 bloggers listed. Just choose your area of NYC, or find a subway line and stop of your choice. A very schmickly designed web site with a good sense of community.
Weblogs
Another weblog listing site, containing blogs updated to the minute (US time). Although it takes a while to trawl through the entries, you will find some gold. A wise person once said 90% of stuff is crap but the other 10% is to die for. This applies to fishing for blogs. There is some awesome stuff out there if you can devote time to trawling.
