During my research into the original image I was also fascinated that when this painting was x-rayed they discovered that the haystacks had been painted numerous times, moved and enlarged. I wanted to show this in my own work, as well as quotes and phrases from Monet in both English and French. The final product, was the result of many hours of playing with shapes and light sources to develop mood and atmosphere. |
