WORDS WINNER ANNOUNCED
The SOYA WORDS winner is:
Felicity Castagna, �Fidel Castro in Surfers Paradise�
There were no Highly Commended awarded in the words category as Felicity was a clear winner.
The Judges were:
Richard Watts - Artistic Director of Express Media
Cate Furey - Writer and youth Arts Worker
Tom Cho - Former coordinator of National Young Writers Festival
Felicity receives $5,000 cash + $5,000 in travel and a mentorship with Jude McGee of Random House publishing.
SOYA received over 1,000 submissions to WORDS and 7,500 to SOYA overall, this category. All SOYA Words finalists + more are now published on the site www.noise.net.au.
Sadly SOYA is now over for 2004 however NOISE will return next year, and we hope to see you all soon.
Thanks again for all your fabulous submissions it was such a pleasure to receive them.
