noise is searching for moving pictures that have been made especially for small screen enjoyment.
A selection of the works submitted will be screened on national television and broadband and the filmmakers will be profiled across the media.
We�re after anything from short films, documentaries and animations, to audio-visual creations and curious experimental works.
Or you can custom-make a noise bit � a short sting or �ident� (5-30 secs long) that uses or abuses the word noise in a creative way.
What: noise is interested in any short film or video of up to 15 minutes in length. For this project, the director of the film/video must be 25 or under. Make sure that you have permission to use all of the music or visuals featured in your production.
NB: Requirements for TV broadcast of FLASH WORKS
1. FLASH FILES NEED TO BE SIZED 1024X576 (16:9) BUT PROTECTED FOR 4:3 (WHICH BASICALLY MEANS THAT YOU WILL PROBABLY LOOSE SOME OF THE VISION ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT OF FRAME DURING A 4:3 BROADCAST.
2. ANY AUDIO SHOULD BE SUPPLIED IN A SEPARATE WAV FILE (48KHZ IF FOR DIGI-BETA)
3. PLEASE SUPPLY THE FILE BOTH AS A SWF AND AS A FLA FILE (INCASE FINE LINES BEND IN THE TRANSFR, THIS CAN BE FIXED.
HOW
>BY MAIL Film, video and animation should be sent to us on VHS PAL video for preview. If your work is selected for TV, we will also need a broadcast-quality copy (SP Betacam, Digital Betacam or DV format). Fill out a noise submission form and enclose a copy of your work.

>ONLINE SUBMISSIONS You can submit your Moving Pictures online as well, especially if you're interested in having them showcased on the web. Click the 'SUBMIT' button on this page to be taken to the Online Submission area for Moving Pictures.
Format Online submissions should be as follows:
Preview Image 200 x 130 pixels at 72 dpi
Movie MPEG, Quicktime (MOV), RealPlayer, WMV (Windows Media Video) up to 10 MB.
