Thanks for all of your amazing submissions, the words are all in, and the sounds are on their way to be pressed onto the Mouthpiece CD and neatly folded into Voiceworks issue #54 ---------------------------------------------------- 19 August 2003 : 'Mouth Off' Artists Announced: The 6 artists chosen from the 'Mouthpiece' CD for the Sydney Opera House's 'Mouth Off' project are: Amy Rhodes, Evelyn Tadros, jesta.sec, Eytan Messiah, Steve Smart, Joey Sculla. ---------------------------------------------------- 10 August 2003 : 'Mouth Off' Mentors Announced: The Sydney Opera House has announced the mentor and director for its "Mouth Off" workshop project, which will take place in September/October this year. 6 of the artists from "Mouthpiece" will be selected to participate in this 3 week workshop at Newcastle, NSW, creating a performance for a season from the 21st to the 25th October in The Studio at Sydney Opera House. So, for your workshopping pleasure, we introduce to you: In the Red Corner: It's the boot-stomping, wit-slinging sass machine, the founder and host of the three-time National Poetry Slam Championship Venue, NYC Urbana (which calls the Bowery Poetry Club its home), and holding the title of youngest slammaster in the USA...Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz, will be your amazin' workshop mentor! And in the Blue Corner: He's the Sydney based Hip Hop artist, performer and director who's performed from Bondi Beach to the Bronx, the Opera House to Long Bay Jail, Wilcannia to San Francisco. He's taught Hip Hop in jails, community centres and isolated Aboriginal communities all around Australia and in 2002 he released his solo album "invisible forces..." yes! It's Morganics, proudly donning his special Director's boxer shorts for the "Mouth Off" show!
